ValDuel ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding that information when you use the ValDuel platform ("Service").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Discord OAuth data: When you sign in with Discord, we receive your Discord user ID, username, avatar URL, and email address (if shared by Discord). We use your Discord ID as your primary account identifier.
  • Riot account data: When you link your Riot account, we store your Riot username, tag, PUUID, and selected region.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Match data: Valorant match results, round scores, agent selections, and KDA statistics retrieved via the HenrikDev API for match verification purposes.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and timestamps of interactions — collected to maintain service reliability and prevent abuse.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
  • Match you with opponents and run the automated 1v1 matchmaking system.
  • Verify match outcomes and update leaderboard standings.
  • Enforce platform rules and prevent boosting, fraud, or abuse.
  • Improve the reliability and performance of the Service.
  • Respond to support requests submitted via the Report Issue tool.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase database hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data in transit (TLS) and restricted service-role access to the database.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third-party providers:

  • Discord — authentication provider. Subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
  • HenrikDev API — Valorant data retrieval. Subject to HenrikDev's terms.
  • Supabase — database and backend infrastructure. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel / hosting provider — deployment infrastructure. Subject to the host's privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time via our Discord server.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us personal data, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
